Travis Kelce's brother fears 'alarm bells going off' over Taylor Swift romance
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are the talk of the town, and NFL world, and brother Jason Kelce is always in on the latest goss, as they star in their brotherly podcast, New Heights. He’s now given some inside info on the relationship with sportswriter Peter King, and shared his ‘concerns.’
The new celebrity couple were recently seen sharing their first kiss in public, and it’s all too much for Swifties. And it looks like the paps may be following Travis Kelce a bit too much, according to his brother.
Jason Kelce ‘is really happy’ for Travis and Taylor
Although he has mentioned some “alarm bells,” all in all, Jason reveals he’s happy for his brother and his relationship to Taylor Swift.
The revelation comes from sportswriter Peter King’s NBC sports piece, published on October 23, where he shares what the American football center said about his brother’s new ‘relationship.’
He recalled that Jason told him on Sunday night: “It’s certainly been weird, the level that it is now. On one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about, that he is genuine about. But there’s another end of it where it’s like, ‘Man, this is a lot.’”
He then went on to explain how the paps were talking about Travis fueling his car before the game, to which Jason said: “Is that really necessary information to share?”
“This is another level of stardom that typically football players don’t deal with. And so on one hand, really, really happy for my brother and where he’s at in his current situation with Taylor but on the other hand, there’s some, I think, alarms sometimes with how you know, over-in-pursuit people can be,” the 35-year-old admitted.
He then explained how his brother “can deal with this,” as long as it’s not “becoming a threat to his safety and things like that.”
It’s not only his brother that has spoken out about the relationship. In fact, dad Ed Kelce has called the star “very sweet.”
In his first interview since the pair have been seen together, he told PEOPLE that she was: “a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman.”
The pair were seen chatting together at the Arrowhead Stadium on October 12.
Jason asks if Travis feels like Taylor’s ‘bodyguard’
In some of the first pap photos and videos released of the two together, Swifties went wild seeing Travis’ ‘protective nature’ when he was seen ushering a bodyguard out the way, opening the car door for the music star himself.
On their New Heights podcast, Jason then asked Trav if he felt like a bodyguard when with Swift, to which he responded:
“I feel like whenever I’m on a date I’m always having the sense, like, I’m a man in the situation. I’m protective.”
